Meet Tim

“I've grown up in the church and been in ministry for nearly two decades. I have learned a lot along the way, including some helpful beliefs and habits, and others that are unhelpful. One of the things I never seemed to get a clear picture of is how discipleship works and takes people from no faith all the way to a multiplying faith in Jesus. I've heard it discussed, but rarely (if ever) seen it in action.

My biggest challenge was operating with a sense of shared vision with my team. I felt disoriented and frustrated like we were always struggling to cast vision and implement it at the exact same time. Exhausting!

I participate in the Disciple-Maker Team Training, a three-month process designed to help leaders form teams that make new disciples of Jesus.

Through this process, I've set up rhythms with people I trust in which we hold each other accountable to the specific actions Jesus is calling us to. It's a privilege to see Jesus working in the simple acts of obedience in our lives.

I am thankful for the formative work God has done in the lives of our church's intern team. They have a sense of direction and clarity in their ministry vision that was not present before the Disciple-Maker Team Training. They are better equipped to do discipleship and to thrive in ministry as a result.”
